Raytheon’s Advanced Technology (AT) strategic business unit is an agile organization developing key discriminators for core products and expanding into adjacent markets to deliver new capabilities that defeat emerging Warfighter threats.
We are seeking an Engineering Execution Team (EET) Department Leader to join our Advanced Technology SBU Engineering Team in Tucson, AZ. In this leadership role, you will manage a team of Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTLs) supporting a broad and dynamic portfolio across the AT business. You will oversee performance development, training, compensation, and career growth while leading IPTL assignments, workforce planning, and AT Engineering Control Tower metrics. You will also enable strong cross‑program collaboration, partnering with IPTs, CEs, TDs, and discipline leaders on staffing, technical and business initiatives, monthly reviews, and financial planning to drive effective program execution and overall AT business operations. This position is an onsite role in Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do
- Lead and develop IPTLs, overseeing performance, training, compensation, and career growth.
- Manage IPTL assignments, workforce planning, and staffing forecasts.
- Oversee AT Engineering Control Tower metrics and drive cross‑program alignment with IPTs, CEs, TDs, and discipline leaders.
- Strengthen the talent pipeline through rotations and collaboration with OCE, PMX, and engineering teams.
- Ensure rigor in LRE/EAC, risk and opportunity management, and proposal processes.
- Coordinate proposal staffing, reviews, and approvals.
- Serve as AT point of contact for key engineering and business initiatives (e.g., TBMA, TDMC, NPI).
- Support AT business operations through monthly technical reviews and financial planning (AOP, LRP, forecasts).
- Travel as needed to support the Engineering Execution Team (~10%).
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with financial analysis tools.
- Experience with project management tools, systems, and/or methodologies.
- Experience across multiple engineering disciplines, products, and customers.
- Active and transferable Top Secret U.S. government security clearance with ability to obtain special program access is required prior to start date. U.S. Citizenship is required as only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Prior functional department leadership experience.
- At least 5 years supporting defense programs.
- Ability to lead teams across multiple geographic locations.
- Demonstrated ability to balance engineering discipline with innovation for rapid development and program success.
- Program Management Certification Level 6 or equivalent.

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
