Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Construction Manager for a full-time, onsite position in New York. This position oversees all facets of major energy retrofit construction projects. The immediate project is located at Queens College in Queens.

ROLE
• Oversee All Facets Of Major Energy Retrofit Construction Projects
• Provide Cost And Constructability Input During The Design Phase
• Coordinate The Bid Process Including Pre-Bid Walkthroughs
• Prepare And Administer Subcontract Agreements
• Coordinate The Submittal Process
• Schedule, Supervise And Coordinate Subcontractor Activities
• Direct Construction Meetings Between Subcontractors, Willdan And The Owner
• Ensure Construction Progresses According To Schedule
• Prepare Detailed Three-Week Construction Schedules
• Update Overall Construction Schedule Monthly
• Update Three-Week Schedule Weekly
• Monitor Construction Schedules Against Contract Completion Dates
• Ensure Construction Specifications Are Followed
• Act As Liaison Between Subcontractors And Engineers
• Establish Quality Control Procedures
• Establish Safety Practices
• Provide Assignments And Mentorship To Project Staff
• Manage Project Cost Control And Forecasting Systems
• Provide Monthly Cost Versus Budget Reports To Project Stakeholders
• Maintain Construction Management Software

• Knowledge Of The Construction Process REQUIRED
• Ability To Identify, Correct And Avoid Potential Schedule, Budget Or Quality Issues REQUIRED
• Ability To Make Decisions While Balancing Cost Implications And Avoiding Disruptions To Work Or Customer Operations REQUIRED
• Ability To Lead Others In The Construction Process REQUIRED
• Ability To Maintain And Develop Client Relationships REQUIRED
• Strong Organizational Skills And Ability To Manage Multiple Activities / Projects REQUIRED
• Strong Verbal, Written And Interpersonal Communication Skills REQUIRED
Education / Experience
• Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or Another Construction-Related Field And 6+ Years Of Professional Experience Preferred Profile
• Combination Of Education And Experience Demonstrating The Required Skills And Abilities May Be Considered
Preferred
• Knowledge Of Design And Commissioning Processes Preferred
• Knowledge Of Mechanical And Electrical Systems In Commercial And Institutional Facilities Preferred
• PMP Certification Or Desire To Obtain PMP Certification Is A Plus
