Management Level:
P5SUMMARY:
The Associate Director will oversee and manage finance and accounting functions for Ingredient Solutions Group’s (ISG) poultry rendering division. This includes multiple accounting teams across 15 plants. The primary focus will be ensuring efficiency and accuracy of financial operations, driving SAP integration, and fostering a collaborative environment within the finance and accounting team and with cross-functional partners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the poultry rendering accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the accounting teams.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Engage with margin management, operational business partners, and poultry FP&A to lead and support capital planning.
- Assist the ISG FP&A team with quarterly projections and contribute to annual budgeting.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate weekly variance reports and conduct in-depth analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Facilitate weekly and monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Provide weekly KPIs to business partners.
Process Standardization and Integration:
- Oversee the standardization of processes across the poultry rendering division, including SAP integration of off-system plants.
- Drive SAP integration initiatives across off-system plants to enhance operational efficiency.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure SOX compliance.
- Manage balance sheet reconciliation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience
- Strong understanding of SAP and proficiency in related tools.
- Advanced in Excel, and proficient in other office software such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of poultry rendering operations and related industry preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ownership mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across various levels of management and subordinate organization.
OTHER:
Supervisory: The Associate Director is responsible for supervising a group of personnel in multiple departments or work units who perform similar and/or interrelated tasks and activities.
Travel: 4 or more domestic trips per year.
