JOB TITLE: Apprentice Plumber/HVAC Tech.

ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT:   Mechanical Department

SUPERVISOR:   Mech. Dept. Director

FLSA: Salary Non-Exempt  

PAY RATE: $23,000 - $42,000

ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family.  

JOB SUMMARY: Assist journeymen in construction and repairs. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist journeymen in all phases of Plumbing/HVAC repair, construction and retro-fits.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

· Perform other duties and projects as required by Administration and Management.

PREFERABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

· Working knowledge of hand tools.

· Mechanical aptitude.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION: 

· Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent.

· Must have good communication and written skills.

· Ability to follow directions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

· Must be able to lift heavy objects and climb ladders.

· Ability to work in close quarters.

· Possibly sitting, standing, bending, stooping, and squatting for extended periods.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Inclement weather possible-year round
• Will be working both indoors and outdoors.
