Requirements

What would I be doing as a Therapeutic Mentor? You would provide structured, one-to-one support to assigned youth in order to achieve goals specific to daily living, social, behavioral, and communication needs. As a Therapeutic Mentor, you would determine the interventions & activities that will be most effective in achieving the treatment goals. Interventions may take place in the youth’s home or in a community setting.  

What do I need to bring to the position?

• High School Diploma/HISET and two (2) two years of experience working with youth in any capacity OR 
• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s in the human services field from an accredited school and one (1) year of experience working with youth in any capacity 
• Must be at least 21 years old 
• Experience collaborating with multiple team members to achieve a common goal
• Excellent written and verbal skills that foster clear, respectful, and empathetic communication
• Cultural humility that allows you to work effectively with individuals of various backgrounds 
• Knowledge of community resources and child/family-serving systems (preferred, but not required)
