Description
The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working across sales, technical, and operational teams. This role will enable senior sales and services personnel to focus on opportunity development, customer engagement, and revenue growth while ensuring opportunities move efficiently through the sales lifecycle. This position was identified as a key investment needed to support expansion of the SHI relationship and improve responsiveness to a growing volume of service opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inbound requests from SHI sales teams and partner channels.
- Create and maintain opportunities in Salesforce.
- Ensure opportunities contain accurate forecasts, next steps, close dates, and activity history.
- Track opportunity progression and proactively identify stalled deals.
- Support pipeline hygiene and reporting accuracy.
- Schedule discovery calls, customer meetings, internal strategy sessions, and follow-up activities.
- Coordinate calendars across sales representatives, solution architects, practice leaders, and customers.
- Manage meeting logistics and ensure action items are documented and completed.
- Assist with opportunity follow-up and customer communications.
- Maintain Salesforce data quality and opportunity visibility.
- Update opportunity stages, estimated values, and forecasting information.
- Generate reports on pipeline, opportunity types, service offerings, and channel activity.
- Support management reviews by ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
- Serve as the first point of coordination for incoming partner-generated services requests.
- Communicate with internal teams to align resources and assign technical personnel.
- Help ensure timely responses to partner and customer inquiries.
- Support the delivery of a consistent and professional customer experience.
- Assist in routing opportunities to the appropriate Solution Architects and Practice Leads.
- Track proposal, LOE, SOW, CPQ, contracting, and approval workflows.
- Monitor outstanding actions and follow up with stakeholders to keep opportunities moving forward.
- Support standardized and repeatable sales motions for productized service offerings.
- Assist with development and maintenance of service catalogs, sales materials, and partner-facing collateral.
- Help coordinate business reviews, partner presentations, and account development activities.
- Identify trends and recurring opportunity types to help improve scalability and operational efficiency.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 5 years of inside sales, sales operations, channel sales support, partner management, or business development experience.
- Experience using Salesforce CRM or a comparable CRM platform.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting channel, wholesale, VAR, or partner-driven sales organizations.
- Exposure to professional services, consulting, managed services, or technology sales.
- Understanding of opportunity qualification, forecasting, and sales pipeline management.
- Familiarity with solution architecture, presales, or technical consulting environments.
