What is the opportunity?
The Associate Director, Portfolio Finance leads portfolio financial oversight and the continuous improvement of the processes, data and systems that underpin financial decision-making across the PoMO. The role provides portfolio-level monitoring and challenge across budgets, forecasts, variance, benefits realization and financial performance, while supporting planning, prioritization and funding decisions through forward-looking financial insight. A core accountability is Finance-side stewardship of CPMS/Planview financial capabilities, establishing and sustaining CPMS as the authoritative source for portfolio financial information and continuously improving the underlying requirements, data standards, controls and processes.
What will you do?
- Lead portfolio financial monitoring, including plan-versus-actual performance, budget utilization and key portfolio Finance-cycle inputs.
- Lead and coordinate variance analysis, providing financial challenges to forecasts, assumptions and emerging risks.
- Lead Finance-side stewardship and continuous improvement of CPMS financial capabilities, establishing and sustaining CPMS as the authoritative source for portfolio financial information.
- Serve as the RBC Investor Services Planview Lifecycle Administrator, maintaining alignment with Wealth Management's organizational hierarchies
- Act as a key Portfolio Finance partner to internal stakeholders across Delivery, Product, Vendor Management and Finance.
- Build trusted relationships, understand evolving stakeholder financial requirements and translate them into effective Finance processes, data and management information.
- Identify inefficient, manual or control-intensive Portfolio Finance processes and lead their improvement.
- Simplify, standardize and automate Finance workflows, including appropriate use of AI-enabled tools where they improve efficiency, control or insight, reducing manual assembly and reconciliation and increasing capacity for higher-value Finance activity.
What do you need to succeed?
Must haves:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Data Science or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
- Relevant experience across Portfolio Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), financial management, portfolio or PMO environments, financial analytics or comparable financial services function
- Experience translating business and financial requirements into effective processes, data standards, system capabilities or management information
- Understanding of financial planning, forecasting, variance analysis, performance monitoring and financial data management
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with internal clients and senior stakeholders across multiple business functions
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial information and provide actionable management insight
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with a centralized portfolio management system P2D2, CPMS or comparable portfolio and project management systems
- Experience in financial services, investor services, asset servicing
- Experience in portfolio benefits realization or benefits tracking
- Experience in HTML development

Pay Range
The expected pay range for this position is:
$90,000.00 - $140,000.00The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location.
