What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, applicants, and personnel at a government office by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entrances, public areas, and restricted locations; verify visitor access in accordance with established procedures; and report suspicious activity or unauthorized access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
