Job Description
To provide specialist support in the administration, analysis, implementation, and governance of reward and payroll processes within the Bank. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution, remuneration analysis, market benchmarking, incentive administration, statutory compliance, data reporting, and reward governance while supporting the Bank's total reward strategy and employee value proposition.Payroll Administration and Governance
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing activities and ensure payroll accuracy and completeness.
- Validate payroll inputs including salary adjustments, bonuses, allowances, overtime, deductions and benefits.
- Perform payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies before payroll finalization.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including PAYE, NAPSA, NHIMA and other legislative obligations.
- Prepare payroll reports and schedules for Finance, auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Support payroll audits and implement corrective actions arising from audit findings.
- Monitor payroll controls and continuously improve payroll processes.
Reward Administration
- Support the implementation of annual remuneration review processes.
- Administer salary structures, pay scales and compensation frameworks.
- Maintain employee remuneration records ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Facilitate reward-related calculations, including salary increases, market adjustments and retention awards.
- Support administration of short-term incentive and bonus schemes.
- Assist in the coordination of long-term incentive and share scheme processes where applicable.
- Monitor adherence to the Bank's Reward Policies and Guidelines.
Compensation Benchmarking and Market Analysis
- Participate in salary surveys including Mercer, Korn Ferry and other market benchmarking exercises.
- Conduct remuneration benchmarking and market competitiveness analyses.
- Analyse internal and external reward data and identify trends and insights.
- Support development of reward recommendations through data-driven analysis.
- Maintain reward databases and market intelligence repositories.
Data Analytics and Reporting
- Produce monthly, quarterly and annual reward and payroll reports.
- Develop dashboards and management information reports for Human Capital, ExCo and Board reporting.
- Analyse reward trends, employee costs, salary movements and payroll variances.
- Generate workforce cost analyses and budgeting reports.
- Monitor key reward and payroll metrics and provide meaningful insights.
Budgeting and Cost Management
- Support payroll budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor employee cost trends against approved budgets.
- Assist with modelling salary increase scenarios, bonus pools and reward proposals.
- Prepare financial impact analyses for remuneration initiatives.
Policy and Compliance
- Support the review and implementation of reward and payroll policies.
- Ensure adherence to employment legislation, tax regulations and internal governance requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee remuneration information.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
Stakeholder Management
- Provide advisory support to Human Capital Business Partners and line managers on reward and payroll matters.
- Respond to employee payroll and remuneration queries within agreed service levels.
- Liaise with Finance, Information Technology, Payroll Service Providers and Regulatory Bodies.
- Support communication of reward and payroll initiatives across the Bank.
