Qualifications & Experience
- A Master’s Degree or PhD in Economics, Finance, Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related discipline from a recognised institution.
- A relevant Bachelor’s Degree in the respective field.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching, academic, or industry experience.
- Demonstrable knowledge and expertise in the relevant subject area.
- Experience in designing, developing, and delivering undergraduate courses and learning materials.
- Experience in supervising and mentoring students, including academic projects, assignments, and internships.
- Evidence of research activities, scholarly publications, conference presentations, or participation in research projects will be an added advantage.
- Experience in curriculum development and review will be an added advantage.
- Strong digital literacy and experience in using online learning platforms and other educational technologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, and presentation skills with a good command of English.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a multicultural academic environment.
Skills and Competencies Required
- Strong academic and practical knowledge in the relevant discipline.
- Ability to effectively teach and facilitate learning at undergraduate level.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, mentor, and support students in their academic and professional development.

- Ability to supervise and coordinate student projects, internships, and other experiential learning activities.
- Ability to liaise effectively with relevant industry stakeholders and professional institutions.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent digital literacy and ability to fully navigate online learning platforms.
- Ability to maintain accurate student records and undertake day-to-day academic and administrative responsibilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development through self-study, research, training, and collaboration with peers.
- Ability to contribute to research, publications, consultancy, and other scholarly activities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a constructive member of the Botho University team.
