Senior Data Scientist

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Statistician to join our FSP team to support one of our fantastic and well-known global pharmaceutical clients, at Senior level. We are looking for someone who has significant experience not just of statistics, but also data science. The successful candidate will be familiar with AI usage in statistics, able to deliver high-quality analytical outputs and will review complex statisticial analysis plans. 

 

This role is full-time and fully-remote. The successful candidate may be based in the UK, Spain, France or Italy.

Qualifications

• PhD in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related quantitative field or MS with 3-5+ years of relevant industry experience
• Extensive knowledge of mathematical statistics, probability, and statistical modelling
• Demonstratable experience applying machine learning or AI methods to large or high dimensional datasets
• Proficiency in Statistical programming languages including SAS, R and Python (more is advantageous)
• Solid understanding of causal inference and observational study design. Experience with Bayesian modelling or probabilistic machine learning
• Experience with large-scale real-world data (administrative claims, EHR, OMOP/CDM, registries)
• Familiarity with cloud or big-data environments (SQL, Spark, Databricks, AWS, Azure, GCP)
• CDISC knowledge (SDTM and ADaM)
• Familiarity with ML frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow) is advantageous
