ABOUT THE ROLE
At Celerity, we are looking for a NOC Operations Engineer to monitor, troubleshoot, and manage network incidents, ensuring the availability and quality of our services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor infrastructure, services, alarms, and network performance.
- Troubleshoot incidents involving LAN, WAN, Internet, fiber optics, GPON/XGS-PON, and Wi-Fi.
- Analyze connectivity issues, latency, packet loss, optical signal levels, and network performance.
- Manage incidents and tickets according to established procedures and SLAs.
- Escalate incidents and coordinate with Engineering, Field Operations, carriers, and vendors.
- Document incidents, actions taken, and solutions implemented.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience in NOC, Network Operations, ISP, Telecommunications, or Network Support.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, NAT, Routing & Switching, SNMP, Syslog, and ICMP.
- Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and monitoring.
- Knowledge of fiber optics, GPON/XGS-PON, OLT, ONT/ONU, and Wi-Fi.
- Experience with ticketing systems and incident management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Technical, technological, or professional degree/diploma in Telecommunications, Networking, Systems, IT, Electronics, or a related field.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Zabbix, Wireshark, ServiceNow, Grafana, SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco, Cambium cnMaestro, or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, APIs, or automation is a plus
