Supply & Food Data Specialist

Role Overview

You will play a central role in transforming how Supply and Food data is governed, understood and used across a complex international organisation. As a change agent within Supply Management, you will collaborate with global functions, regional and country data teams, technology stakeholders and adjacent business domains to turn data strategy into practical, adopted ways of working.

You will take ownership of the Supply and Food components of the Core Data Model, including shared taxonomies, definitions and data-quality standards. Your work will enable consistent data use across ERP, source-to-contract, target operating model and reporting initiatives. By translating governance principles into clear deliverables and supporting their implementation at global, regional and local levels, you will help strengthen decision-making, operational efficiency and long-term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

You will lead Supply and Food data-transformation initiatives from initial discovery through to implementation and adoption. You will gather business needs and convert them into practical outputs, including data requirements, dictionaries, mapping rules, quality controls, ownership frameworks, acceptance criteria, implementation plans and progress dashboards.

You will manage and continuously improve the Supply and Food elements of the Core Data Model and central taxonomy, ensuring that definitions and standards remain aligned with operational processes and user needs. You will identify dependencies across Supply, Food and related data domains, raise conflicts or gaps and work with governance, technology and business teams to reach effective solutions.

You will build and coordinate a strong network of stakeholders, subject-matter experts and data champions, acting as the main point of contact for selected countries, regions or projects. You will facilitate workshops to establish common definitions, clarify ownership, agree governance decisions and prioritise deployment activities while accounting for local operational realities.

You will also develop accessible documentation, user guidance, training resources and change communications to help teams apply data policies and standards confidently. Through targeted adoption support and continuous improvement, you will increase the usability, consistency and quality of data while ensuring that transformation initiatives deliver measurable value across the organisation.

Requirements

You will bring strong analytical capabilities and practical experience with Power BI or comparable reporting and visualisation platforms. You will be comfortable working with complex datasets, dashboards, progress reports and issue logs to support decisions, monitor delivery and ensure effective follow-up.

You will have a sound understanding of data governance, data modelling, data dictionaries, taxonomy management and data-quality practices, ideally gained within a large, international or multi-country organisation. Knowledge of supply management, procurement or food-sector processes will be highly valuable.

You will be able to translate broad business questions into precise data requirements, definitions, rules, mappings, controls and documentation that both technical specialists and business users can apply. Your structured and pragmatic approach will allow you to navigate ambiguity, balance competing priorities and convert strategic transformation goals into clear actions and tangible outcomes.
