Job Title: Remote Construction Project Accountant (100% Work From Home)
Location: Remote from Latin America
Position Type: Full-time
Salary: $1,000 - 2,000 USD/month paid via bank transfer or TheraSchedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m to 5:00p.m Eastern Time
Job Overview:
We are looking for a Construction Project Accountant to support the cost tracking and financial management of construction projects. This role will collaborate with accounting, purchasing, billing and project managers/ operations teams to implement accurate job cost tracking and job progress reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Responsibilities:
- Track and maintain job budgets and job cost reports
- Track and analyze job costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
- Prepare monthly job cost and variance reports for management
- Collect job performance information to prepare WIP reports on a monthly and annual basis
- Monitor materials and subcontractor costs; monitor Purchase Order approval process and enforce adherence to the internal policies by operations and purchasing teams.
- Track Change Order activities
- Identify potential cost overruns and work with project teams to resolve issues
- Support job/project closeout activities, including final cost reconciliation and record keeping
Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 2-3 years experience in the similar role, construction or project-based accounting
- Strong understanding of the Purchase Order process in construction
- Strong understanding of job cost accounting and relevant financial reporting
- Knowledge of InEight is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with project managers
Hardware Requirements

- Operating System: Windows-based device only (No Mac/Apple computers).
- Memory: Minimum of 16GB RAM.
- Hardware: Dual-monitor setup (2 screens) is required for efficient workflow.
- Connectivity: Stable, high-speed internet with a dedicated, quiet workspace. Candidates must be able to guarantee connectivity regardless of travel.
