Description
Position Type: Part-Time / Independent Contractor
- Provide high-quality private, semi-private, and/or small-group Pilates Reformer sessions based on member needs and fitness levels.
- Guide members through proper Reformer setup, technique, alignment, breathing, and movement patterns.
- Modify exercises appropriately for different fitness levels, mobility limitations, and individual needs within the instructor’s professional scope.
- Conduct introductory sessions and help new participants become comfortable and confident using Pilates Reformer equipment.
- Create thoughtful and progressive sessions that support members’ strength, flexibility, mobility, balance, posture, and overall wellness goals.
- Develop positive relationships with members while providing attentive, personalized service.
- Encourage member participation and help grow the club’s Pilates Reformer program through excellent instruction and member engagement.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming Pilates environment.
- Inspect equipment before and after sessions and communicate maintenance or safety concerns to Fitness Management.
- Maintain accurate attendance, session, and scheduling records as required.
- Collaborate with Personal Trainers, Group Fitness Instructors, Fitness Management, and other Wellness professionals when appropriate to enhance the overall member experience.
- Stay current on Pilates techniques, industry standards, and continuing education.
- Represent the club professionally and provide exceptional member service at all times.
- Current Pilates Reformer certification from a recognized Pilates education or certification program required.
- Comprehensive Pilates certification preferred.
- Current CPR/AED certification required or ability to obtain upon hire.
- Previous experience teaching Pilates Reformer sessions strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a country club, resort, luxury fitness facility, boutique studio, wellness center, or similar member-focused environment is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Pilates principles, anatomy, movement, proper alignment, and exercise modifications.
- Ability to confidently work with members of varying ages, abilities, and fitness levels.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.
- Professional, dependable, punctual, and enthusiastic.
- Ability to build rapport with members and contribute to a positive fitness community.
