Who We Are

We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport’s growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

Why Work for the USTA?

We are a passionate team of staff and volunteers focused on growing the sport of tennis and making it accessible to all. We are committed to removing barriers and creating opportunities for ALL to participate.

The Role

Lead the overarching operational execution, commercial strategy, and business growth for the 150+ USTA Pro Circuit tournaments. This role bridges event delivery with enterprise business goals—driving sustainable revenue growth (sponsorships, ticketing, digital media, hospitality), scaling community and brand engagement, ensuring operational compliance, and establishing modern digital asset management across all events.

  • Strategic Operations & Governance: Oversee national standards, integrity, security, safeguarding, and officiating support for 150+ events. Direct the onboarding, continuous development, and operational frameworks for Tournament Directors and event staff.
  • Commercial Strategy & Revenue Expansion: Design and execute holistic business strategies to grow national, regional, and local sponsorship revenues, ticketing models, broadcast/media rights, and premium hospitality offerings.
  • Brand Visibility & Fan Engagement: Spearhead brand integration and digital storytelling to maximize platform visibility. Lead community engagement frameworks (youth clinics, adaptive tennis, Net Generation) and design consistent on-site sponsor activations.
  • Digital Tools & Revenue Forecasting: Implement digital asset matrices, CRM tracking systems, and analytics dashboards to measure sponsor ROI, streamline reporting, and drive data-informed calendar planning.
  • Enterprise Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Host the annual Tournament Director Workshop. Represent Pro Circuit business and operational interests across internal units (Marketing, Sponsorship, Digital, Broadcast, Player Development, Legal, Finance) and key external partners (ATP, WTA, ITF, host cities, and local sponsors).

Who You Are

  • Experience: Minimum 7–10 years in sports/entertainment management, combining hands-on tournament/event operations with proven success in business development or commercial strategy.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Technical & Operational Skills: Deep knowledge of tennis tournament operations, CRM platforms, sponsor analytics tools, and digital dashboards. High proficiency in Google Suite.
  • Leadership & Flexibility: Executive leadership, negotiation, and cross-functional team alignment abilities.
  • Willingness to undertake moderate to frequent national travel (including 4–6 key event site visits annually and major workshops).
  • This position is based in Orlando, designated as hybrid/flex and may allow for both remote and on-site work. Any such position must meet the current USTA hybrid/flex requirements as updated from time to time. Please consult HR for the most current policy.
