Position Basics
The General Manager (GM) is responsible for the overall operations, financial performance, and culture of the Earth Burger restaurant. The GM directly oversees Cashiers, Expo, Cooks, and Shift Leads, fostering a positive, fast-paced environment focused on exceptional plant-based hospitality, operational excellence, and team development. By leading by example, the General Manager ensures that guest satisfaction, food safety, profit goals, and brand standards are consistently met or exceeded.
Essential Responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of management experience in a fast-casual or quick-service restaurant (QSR) environment.
- Must hold a valid Food Protection Manager Certification (or ability to obtain prior to hire).
- Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
- Proficient in restaurant POS systems, scheduling software, and inventory management tools.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be a problem solver and available to work over 40 hours a week, if needed.

Requirements
Leadership & Team Management
- Directly supervise, coach, and mentor Cashiers, Expo, Cooks, and Shift Leads.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train high-performing team members in alignment with Earth Burger values.
- Build weekly work schedules that optimize labor efficiency while ensuring adequate shift coverage.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, offer constructive feedback, and handle disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work culture that promotes employee retention and high morale.
Store Operations & Guest Experience
- Oversee daily front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) operations to maintain high standards of service, speed, and accuracy.
- Ensure all guest interactions meet Earth Burger's hospitality standards, resolving guest complaints promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate seamlessly between the kitchen (Cooks), assembly (Expo), and register (Cashiers) to ensure smooth order flow during peak hours.
- Step in to assist at any station—including register, expo, or kitchen line—as business needs require.
Financial Performance & Inventory Control
- Drive store profitability by managing labor costs, minimizing food waste, and controlling operational expenses.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and conducting accurate weekly stock counts.
- Manage daily cash handling, safe audits, bank deposits, and sales reporting in compliance with company policies.
- Review sales trends and financial metrics to identify opportunities for revenue growth and expense reduction.
Food Safety, Sanitation & Maintenance
- Ensure strict adherence to local health department regulations and Earth Burger food safety standards across all stations.
- Maintain a culture of continuous sanitation and cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
- Perform routine inspections of kitchen equipment, refrigeration units, and dining areas to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Schedule and oversee regular equipment maintenance and facility repairs as needed.
