Summary:

In this role, you will contribute to the quality and reliability of software products by partnering with Agile development teams to test, validate, and improve applications throughout the software development lifecycle. You will gain hands-on experience with manual and automated testing, test automation frameworks, defect management, and modern software delivery practices while helping ensure high-quality solutions are delivered to clients. This position provides an opportunity to build technical skills in software quality engineering, automation, and collaborative problem solving within a fast-paced technology environment.

Responsibilities:

• Review user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria to identify testing objectives and quality risks.
• Create and maintain test cases, test data, and test scenarios that validate business and technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain automated UI and functional tests using approved testing frameworks and tools.
• Execute manual and automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects and quality concerns.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing activities.
• Validate application data and test outcomes through SQL queries and database analysis.
• Document, prioritize, track, and verify software defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and quality engineers to investigate and resolve issues.
• Support improvements to test coverage, test environments, automation reliability, and overall quality processes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and team planning activities.
• Contribute to test documentation, quality metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the development and maintenance of reusable test automation frameworks, utilities, and testing assets.
• Learn and apply source control, build, deployment, and modern software delivery practices.
• Complete assigned training and follow established standards, procedures, and development practices.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree preferred.
• No prior experience required.
• Basic understanding of software testing concepts and software development lifecycle methodologies required.
• Basic programming knowledge in Python, C#, Java, or a similar programming language required.
• Interest in software quality engineering, test automation, and automated testing frameworks required.
• Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, testing methodologies, and quality engineering practices required.
• Familiarity with Playwright, Selenium, or similar test automation tools preferred.
• Familiarity with SQL and relational database concepts preferred.
• Familiarity with Git or other source control systems preferred.
• Understanding of web applications, APIs, HTTP concepts, or browser developer tools preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively within cross-functional Agile teams.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts, automated build pipelines, or modern software delivery practices preferred.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $59,600.00 to $101,200.00.
