Job Description

The Global Interchange and Pricing team at Visa is responsible for managing interchange and pricing with the objectives of leveraging economics to maximize Visa network participation and therefore drive revenue growth of Visa’s network.

The Senior Analyst, US Acceptance Deals Strategy, will support workstreams focused on acceptance deal pricing and strategy. You will help develop economic frameworks and tools to support our business on our most strategic deals. The position requires the ability to apply strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve business problems, and quickly arrive at recommendations that drive corporate priorities. Your work will be highly visible to leadership and will drive key insights for management discussions. The Senior Analyst will be based in either San Francisco, California, or Foster City, California.

Essential Functions:

• Provide rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses in support of identifying and vetting opportunities to maintain / expand Visa acceptance in the US
• Develop deal constructs for acceptance agreements with merchants and payment service providers
• Manage all aspects of deal lifecycle and deal management, including business case development, stakeholder impact assessments, internal management approvals, support for contract negotiations, and operations in post deal execution
• Work with cross-functional teams (product, finance, legal, sales, etc) to execute across deals and other strategic initiatives
• Serve as pricing and interchange subject matter expert for workstreams with internal and external stakeholders
• Communicate and build support for recommendations among senior leaders across the organization.

• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA,  JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills required
• Superior analytical, financial modeling and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
• Ability to handle multiple project workstreams, with proven success in synthesizing large data sets related to a wide variety of functional business problems
• Ability to work independently, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to build rigorous, fact-bases that support recommendations to senior leadership and executive management
• Must be a self-starter with proven abilities in organizational, conceptual, and logical problem solving
• Ability to set priorities and manage stakeholder expectations internally and externally, and work both as part of a team and independently
• Eagerness to work intensively in joint teams with colleagues of all levels to accomplish project objectives.
• Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages in written and verbal communications.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• SQL experience is a plus

Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $129,200 to $206,700 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
