Description
Who you'll be:
Lead the organization's systems engineering, administration, cyber security/compliance, and digital forensics initiatives to secure IT networks used for detecting and investigating cybercrimes and internal policy violations. This role involves supporting security engineering, providing ISSO-adjacent support, and conducting cyber forensic analysis, ensuring effective digital investigations and evidence management.
What you'll do:
- Advise and assist with the maintenance and engineering of the forensic network infrastructure, managing service requests via internal ticketing systems.
- Administer, configure, and secure the unit's tool suite and network security architecture; provide recommendations to leadership.
- Maintain SIEM infrastructure supporting data aggregation from IDS, firewalls, proxies, DLP, antivirus, and vulnerability scanners.
- Monitor DLP solutions and recommend incident response handling per NIST 800-88 standards.
- Design and deploy custom digital forensic builds for analysis; perform endpoint and network-based forensic analysis.
- Support digital forensic investigations, document findings, and manage email-misuse cases in the case management system.
- Serve as SME on evidence preservation and chain-of-custody procedures; handle advanced forensic extraction techniques.
- Create and escalate cases to law enforcement as per internal policies; manage the full investigation lifecycle and update SOPs.
What you need:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in system administration, network engineering, or software development focusing on Cyber Security. Alternatively, 5 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in digital media forensic analysis and malware code analysis.
- CISSP or CompTIA Security+ certification is preferred.
- GCFE, GCFA, or EnCE certifications are preferred.
