About the Role:
Job Summary
The Warehousing and Receiving Technician is responsible for managing all aspects of NGHS off-site storage facilities(s). Responsibilities include coordinating the cross dock (movement of supplies and materials) functions between off-site storage and all NGHS locations. This position is also responsible for managing the process for the disposal, transfer, donation or sale of unused medical equipment and furniture, in accordance to NGHS policy.

Licensure or other certifications:
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma
Minimum Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years prior work experience coordinating, negotiating, or transporting the logistics of inventory/supplies required. A combination of experience and college level course education pertaining to a related field may be substituted for direct experience.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Off-Site storage management responsibilities. Maintains and inventory and of all company assets and supplies stored at off-site storage facility. Document and execute standard work regarding the appropriateness of storage requests. Adheres to the in-house asset tagging process by providing the tag numbers and the necessary documentation to the accounting staff. Responds to requests for storage. Coordinates the Cross Dock Function at off-site facility of capital assets staged for projects.
Manages the process for the disposal, transfer, donation or sale of unused medical equipment and furniture. Negotiate the sale, and donation of unused medical equipment and furniture to 3rd party vendors and charities.
Off-site storage receiving responsibilities. Perform receiving functions for all incoming and cross docked freight at off-site storage location. Coordinates and performs research and resolution of the non-receivables with AP, Logistics, and Purchasing. Manages the operational aspects of off-site storage. (Lawson, BlueBin) utilizing a variety of computer systems. Reconciles package slips, delivery tickets and PO information as well as scanning documentation of purchase order information in the designated software application. Serves as liaison between purchasing, receiving and accounts payable staff. Communicates effectively with management, nursing staff, accounting, and other hospital staff to provide quality and consistent service as well as provides data needed to receive, process, deliver and account for items ordered via the purchasing system.
Establishes and enforces building access guidelines collaboratively with Security
Coordinates with Security, Plant Operations, Environmental Services to maintain the building infrastructure.
