Description
Fleet Supervisor
AAA Northern New England is seeking a motivated and experienced Fleet Supervisor to oversee fleet operations within an assigned territory. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the Club’s fleet while providing direct supervision, coaching, and support to drivers.
The successful candidate will champion a culture of safety, accountability, operational excellence, and exceptional member service.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of fleet vehicles within the assigned territory.
- Coordinate vehicle repairs and preventive maintenance with external vendors and fleet mechanics to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations.
- Directly supervise and support drivers through coaching, training, performance management, corrective action, goal setting, and ongoing professional development.
- Promote compliance with company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and safety standards while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor key operational performance metrics, including service levels, response times, territory coverage, vehicle availability, and overall service delivery.
- Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions and process improvements to improve efficiency, safety, and service quality.
- Develop and manage driver schedules to maintain adequate staffing levels, minimize unnecessary overtime, and support driver well-being and safety.
- Investigate, address, and resolve customer and service-related concerns involving drivers and fleet operations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all fleet vehicles, including inspections, registrations, maintenance history, repairs, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure all vehicles remain legally operable, properly maintained, and ready for service.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, orientation, and training of new drivers.
- Serve as a driver when operational needs require, as assigned by management.
- Partner with leadership and other departments to identify opportunities to improve fleet reliability, operational efficiency, safety, and member service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in roadside assistance, fleet operations, transportation, towing, automotive service, or a related operational environment.
- Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience, including employee coaching, performance management, corrective action, goal setting, and performance evaluations.
- Strong knowledge of tow vehicles, fleet equipment, vehicle maintenance practices, and fleet operations.
- Thorough understanding of automotive systems and diagnostic technologies, including fuel injection systems, alarm systems, tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS), troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Familiarity with vehicle specifications, repair costs, maintenance requirements, and fleet budgeting considerations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, as well as PDF editing software.
- Experience using Workday or similar workforce management, HR, or business systems.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with drivers, vendors, mechanics, leadership, and other internal and external partners.

The starting pay range for this position is:
$54,300.00 - $72,300.00Additionally, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
