Overview

 

The Project Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing the operational execution of projects, ensuring delivery objectives are met on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role acts as a bridge between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership to drive efficiency, governance, and continuous improvement. The position focuses on project planning, resource management, performance tracking, and operational excellence across the project portfolio.

 

Your role

 

• Lead and coordinate project operations to ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Monitor project performance, risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution.
• Establish and enforce project governance, processes, and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Track key project metrics and provide regular status reports to management.
• Optimize operational workflows and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Support project managers with planning, execution, and change management activities.
• Manage resource utilization and capacity planning across multiple projects.
• Ensure project documentation is maintained accurately and consistently.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery efficiency.
• Facilitate project review meetings, lessons learned sessions, and operational audits.

 

About you

 

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in project operations, project management, or program management.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies (PMI, PRINCE2, Agile, or similar).
• Proven experience managing multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with project management and reporting tools such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
• Advanced skills in project tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
• Ability to manage risks, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and team collaboration capabilities.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
