Description
Mechanical QA Inspector – Power Generation - Texas
Verto People is recruiting a Mechanical QA Inspector to support site quality assurance on a power generation project.
You’ll inspect mechanical equipment installations, verify compliance with specifications and work with construction teams to resolve quality issues before handover.
Key responsibilities

Inspect equipment on delivery and check storage and preservation arrangements.

Verify equipment positioning, alignment and grouting against manufacturer requirements.

Inspect tank installations and witness associated testing.

Review supplier documentation and installation records.

Attend inspection hold points and provide sign-off within delegated authority.

Raise nonconformance reports and verify corrective actions through to closure.
Requirements
-
At least seven years of mechanical inspection experience within power or process plants.

Practical experience inspecting large rotating equipment installations.

Working knowledge of ASME Section VIII and applicable API tank standards.

Confidence reviewing technical documents and maintaining accurate inspection records.

A relevant technical qualification or equivalent field experience.
Previous owner-side inspection experience, OSHA 30 and familiarity with digital construction documentation tools would be advantageous.
