The Country Manager will lead the Venezuelan business as a strategic business unit, with full responsibility for three production facilities focused on sugar and soybean processing. The role will drive profitable growth, operational excellence, resilient supply and commercial performance, and sustainable long-term positioning in the Venezuelan market, in line with the Group's global strategy.

Main Responsibilities
• Define and execute the country strategy and annual business plan in alignment with Group and Emerging Markets objectives.
• Hold full P&L responsibility for Venezuela, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, working capital management, and capital expenditure planning across the three production facilities.
• Oversee the sugar and soybean processing plants, ensuring capacity utilization, production efficiency, operational reliability, business continuity, product quality, food safety, and occupational health and safety standards.
• Review operational performance and sponsor critical investment, continuous improvement, and risk-mitigation initiatives that strengthen competitiveness and operational resilience.
• Secure a stable and cost-effective raw material supply by developing relationships with local sugarcane and soybean growers and managing soybean import programs when local supply is insufficient.
• Develop the commercial strategy and sales channels for sugar, soybean meal, soybean oil, and by- products, serving food manufacturers, feed producers, distributors, and other industrial customers.
• Manage financial, currency, and inflation risks, including pricing policies, hedging, treasury operations, and liquidity considerations, in coordination with Group Finance.
• Ensure compliance with local labor, tax, customs, and food regulations, as well as applicable international sanctions and export control requirements, in coordination with Group Legal and Compliance.

• Build and lead a high-performing local leadership team, including plant managers and functional heads, while strengthening organizational design, succession planning, leadership development, and a culture aligned with company values.
• Manage labor relations and collective bargaining processes, maintaining constructive dialogue with employees and unions.
• Oversee supply chain and logistics, including port operations, import and export processes, storage, and domestic distribution.
• Identify and evaluate growth opportunities, including capacity expansion, new product lines, strategic partnerships, and investments, and prepare business cases for Group approval.
• Build and maintain relationships with government authorities, regulators, industry associations, financial institutions, international organizations, and local communities; represent the company in relevant forums and report regularly to Group management on performance, risks, and strategic developments.
Position Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering (Industrial, Food, Chemical, or Agricultural), Finance, International Trade, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including significant experience as a Country Manager, General Manager, Managing Director, Business Unit Director, Commercial Director, or equivalent senior leadership role.
• Proven experience managing P&L and complex, multi-functional business operations, including budgeting, financial analysis, cost control, and capital allocation.
• Strong experience in agriculture, food, agribusiness, commodity trading, manufacturing, or supply chain; experience across multiple areas and with industrial or production facilities is strongly preferred.
• Strong strategic leadership, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities in complex and volatile business environments.
• Solid financial acumen and risk-management experience in high-inflation and multi-currency settings, with a strong governance and business continuity mindset.
• Commercial expertise in B2B sales of agricultural commodities and processed products, together with demonstrated experience in business development, investment, market expansion, and strategic partnerships.
• Strong stakeholder management, government relations, and negotiation skills, with significant experience working with authorities, regulators, financial institutions, and international partners.
• Experience in labor relations, collective bargaining, and leading large, multi-site and multidisciplinary teams; proven ability to develop leaders and drive organizational transformation.
• Previous experience in Latin America, particularly Venezuela or other complex emerging markets, is strongly preferred, together with international and cross-cultural business experience.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
