Job Summary:
The Strategic Program Management Office (SPMO) Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the successful execution of critical initiatives across the organization. This role serves as a central coordination partner for program managers, project teams, business partners, and leadership. It supports planning, tracking, and completing projects aligned with organizational objectives. Responsibilities include supporting program governance processes, portfolio reporting, project documentation, and insight into schedules, risks, and performance metrics.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will help drive consistency, accountability, and transparency across the project portfolio while enabling informed decision-making through accurate reporting and effective communication.
Responsibilities:
- Support the planning, coordination, and execution of strategic programs and projects within the SPMO portfolio.
- Maintain project schedules, action item logs, risk registers, decision logs, and program documentation.
- Collect, consolidate, and distribute project and portfolio status reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Coordinate governance reviews, leadership meetings, and stage-gate processes, ensuring required deliverables are completed on schedule.
- Track project achievements and collaborate with partners to ensure commitments and action items are completed.
- Facilitate communication among project teams, business partners, and leadership to promote alignment and timely issue resolution.
- Support portfolio planning, prioritization, and resource management activities.
- Ensure compliance with established project management standards, processes, and documentation requirements.
- Develop presentations, executive summaries, and other communications for leadership and partner review.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve PMO processes, reporting tools, and operational efficiency.
- AI Proficiency: Demonstrated ability and willingness to use Micron-authorized AI tools such as Copilot, Mia, and other approved platforms. These tools help increase efficiency, analyze information, automate routine tasks, and identify process improvement opportunities. You must follow Micron AI governance policies while using them.
- Experience with, or interest in, developing and integrating Agentic AI workflows into current and future business processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience, GED, or equivalent.
- Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and practical experience applying SPC methodologies.
- Two years of project management experience supporting projects with department-level impact.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or demonstrated knowledge of intermediate algebra and introductory statistics.
- Experience supporting product excursion follow-up and mitigation activities.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
