π The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Golang Developer with a specialised focus on game development to join our innovative team. This role involves leveraging Golang to construct robust backend systems and APIs that support complex real-time multiplayer gaming environments. You will collaborate closely with game designers and other developers to create high-quality, scalable, and responsive gaming experiences.
β Your Responsibilities
β Design and implement scalable backend services using Golang for real-time multiplayer games.
β Collaborate with game designers to integrate complex server-side game mechanics.
β Optimise system performance to handle high traffic and data throughput without latency.
β Ensure the stability and security of gaming networks and data transactions.
β Maintain and enhance the codebase to improve scalability and efficiency.
β Lead technical discussions and code reviews to drive innovations and maintain coding
standards.
β Solve challenging problems in areas such as distributed computing and
high-performance computing.
β Stay at the forefront of technological advancements to incorporate cutting-edge solutions
into the gaming experience.
π What You Bring to the Table
β Over 3 years of professional software development experience, with a strong emphasis on Golang.
β Extensive experience in backend system architecture and high-performance computing, particularly in the context of game development.
β Proficient in handling asynchronous programming, threading, and concurrency.
β Expert knowledge in system design integrating complex data structures and algorithms.
β Proficient in using version control systems like Git.
β Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
β Deep understanding of micro-services architecture and container technologies like
Docker and Kubernetes.
β Familiar with CI/CD practices and automated testing environments.
β Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
π₯ Preferred Qualifications
β Hands-on experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.) tailored to gaming applications.
β Strong background in network programming and data security within the gaming industry.
β Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch.
β Well-versed in agile development methodologies and effective project management tools
such as Jira.
β The ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin is advantageous but not required.
