Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000 / year
Description
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth for our Traffic Control and Work Zone Safety services. This role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and supporting bids, proposals, and RFP responses.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities within traffic control and work zone safety services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, municipalities, utilities, and general contractors.
- Lead and support bid, proposal, and RFP/RFQ responses, including pricing coordination and scope review.
- Collaborate with operations and safety teams to ensure proposals are accurate, competitive, and executable.
- Track and manage the business development pipeline, from lead generation through contract execution.
- Conduct market research to identify new markets, clients, and service expansion opportunities.
- Represent the company in client meetings, site walks, pre-bid meetings, and industry events.
- Support contract negotiations and assist with onboarding new clients.
- Maintain ongoing client relationships post-award to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships.
- Provide regular reporting and forecasts to leadership regarding pipeline activity and revenue projections.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or client management within traffic control, construction, utilities, power, telecom, or infrastructure services.
- Demonstrated experience supporting or leading bids, RFPs, and RFQs.
- Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to understand technical scopes of work and translate them into commercial proposals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Highly organized, proactive, and results-driven.
- Ability to work closely with operations, safety, and estimating teams.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and pre-bid activities.
