Role Summary

Anthropologie is looking for a Sr. Product Development Coordinator who will be accountable for implementing the business and operational aspects of the Brand's product category vision. This role requires a showcase of expertise in the designated category. The Sr Product Development Coordinator coordinates product development from concept to bulk. The Senior Product Development Coordinator is a skilled individual who can operate independently. 

Role Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and execute brand’s vision through the appropriate allocation of product and sourcing of materials that deliver the right aesthetic while meeting company financial cost targets and timing requirements.
  • Achieve seasonal calendar actualization successfully meeting target delivery dates. Ensure that deadlines are met; communicate issues pro-actively with manager,
  • Develop partnership with supplier base to ensure alignment of category business needs and successful business partnership.
  • Attend concept and Sketch Review meetings to understand and clarify design’s intention, tone, and important style aspects. 
  • Collaborate with cross functional partners to develop category strategy for the season.
  • Own individual style development and sourcing allocation to appropriate sources independently.
  • Analyze and identify opportunities to improve adoption rates and approved style count targets as dictated by seasonal line plan. 
  • Coordinate with cross functional partners on category development process, including research of pre-style development, tracking and review of pre-style packages, ensuring compliance of product within category to internal testing standards, and managing sample evaluation, accuracy, and quality.
  • Hand over adopted styles to production team, including approval target dates, status, and production concerns.
  • Mentor junior level team members.

Role Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive apparel product development, sourcing, and pre-production
  •  experience within a complex, fast-paced apparel environment.
  • Specialty retail and/or DTC experience is preferred.
  • Strong costing and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of fabrics and washes.
  • Proven success in building cross-functional relationships and effective
  • communication with internal and external partners.
  • Good knowledge of garment construction, denim washes and dye technique.
  • Deep understanding of PD process.
  • Works with a high sense of urgency and integrity, easily and quickly adapts to change, and is motivated by deadlines and new challenges.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of apparel garment costing.
  • Proactive and minimally dependent on the manager on how to carry out work.
  • Able to execute projects when given clear guidelines and strategy.
  • Strong Computer skills are required (MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and PLM).
