The Role:
As a Finance & Accounting Specialist supporting our US parent company and Singapore subsidiary, you will oversee end-to-end financial operations, maintain compliance with local and international standards, manage tax obligations, and collaborate with external agencies (e.g., outsourced accounting firms) to ensure smooth operations. We need a detail-oriented professional who can maintain accurate records, streamline processes, and guide strategic financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with Singapore and US accounting standards (SFRS, US GAAP)
- File Singapore taxes (GST, corporate tax) and assist with US tax matters
- Work with outsourced accounting and compliance agencies in both the US and Singapore to handle specialized tasks and remain compliant
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and maintain internal controls
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow to support informed decision-making
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA/ACCA preferred)
- At least three years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and strong Excel skills
- Familiarity with US GAAP and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment
