Description
Position Summary
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in accordance with the Individual Support Plan (ISP) and DDD authorization. Duties vary based on assigned services and individual needs. DSPs are not required to provide all service types.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (as assigned)
Provide direct support in home, community, or group settings
Follow ISP goals, behavior plans, and agency policies
Support daily living, community participation, and skill development
Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion
Implement approved behavioral strategies when applicable
Ensure health, safety, and well-being
Complete accurate service documentation
Communicate concerns, incidents, or changes promptly

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Must meet DDD background and clearance requirements
Valid driver’s license if transportation is required
CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
Experience with developmental disabilities preferred
Additional Information
Assignments are based on service authorization, individual needs, and staff qualifications. Schedules may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
