Description
What you will be doing:
- Organize work by matching the bar code details with the test required on the HIS.
- Sort specimens for testing.
- Ensure timely preparation of solutions, reagents, stains and other materials as may be required.
- Record all data and results in specified forms (paper and/or electronic) with accuracy and responsibility.
- Arrange reports for validation and delivery prior to competency assess.
- Maintain quality results by running standards and controls, verify equipment function through routine equipment maintenance and advanced trouble shooting.
- Monitor quality control measures and protocols.
- Monitor stock and responsible for the stock for the assigned section.
What are we looking for?
- A bachelor’s degree in biomedical, biology, Chemistry, biotechnology, life sciences or any related field
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in similar field
- Good knowledge of laboratory practices (testing, analysis, safety, efficient reporting, compliance, troubleshooting)
- Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
