** Re Ltd. is a leading global reinsurer, providing multi-line reinsurance to insurance companies. The company is heavily focused on growing its Life and Health business, particularly in APAC. 

You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the pricing basis and support new product development within the APAC region. In this role, you will work with different market teams and other departments to obtain and analyze relevant experience information, make assumptions for the future, and develop the pricing basis; you will need to ensure the pricing basis is robust, up-to-date and fit-for-purpose. You will also work closely with Product Development team to develop new risk products for the market and price for them, and ensure the long term sustainability of such products.

Main areas of responsibility are:

• Develop the pricing basis development plan, together with market teams, consider business development needs.
• Lead the pricing basis development projects, perform / coordinate the development of these basis, seek necessary approval.
• Analyze available data, recommend data acquisition and analytic plans, project future changes in risk landscape, to support the pricing basis development and enhance our understanding of the underlying risks.
• Assess new risk products’ long term sustainability, develop and maintain the pricing basis and models for the new products, together with the regional and global pricing teams.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you bring the following qualification and background:

• You are a qualified actuary or an experienced professional in relevant fields with 10 or more years working experience in Life & Health pricing in the (re)insurance industry, with a strong understanding of biometric risks.
• We expect you to map the needs and gaps of existing basis, develop the plan to meet the needs and close the gaps, and execute it.
• We expect you to work closely with relevant teams to develop the pricing basis, perform needed analysis, coordinate the development effort, and seek necessary approval.
• You will also work closely with product development efforts to assess the risks and develop the models to price for them.
• You are proactive and can work both autonomously and in a collaborative setting. 

In addition, your experience is surrounded by the following knowledge and expertise:

• Expert understanding of biometric risks.
• Strong understanding of protection products and the market dynamics for protection products in our target markets in APAC.
• Rich experience of experience analysis and data analytic projects.
• Able to set and manage priorities, lead the projects to finish.
• Versatile, can lead the project team to complete the project; can also perform needed analysis individually.
• The position is based in *** Re’s Hong Kong office, but based in Singapore office can be considered on an exceptional basis.
