Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled mid-Senior Oracle Core Database Administrator (DBA) to join our Oracle practice team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of our Oracle databases, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. 

Skill Sets Required (Must Have):

  • Hands-on Experience on 12c, 19c and above
  • Cross-platform Upgrade experience (Linux, UNIX, Windows)
  • Manage RAC DB in the aspect of (installation, support, troubleshooting).
  • Manage DR / Active DataGuard replication (installation, support, troubleshooting).
  • Write new shell scripts, able to easily understand and update existing shell scripts.
  • Highly skilled in Troubleshooting techniques especially performance related issues, ability to analyze explain plans, AWRs, ability to use SQL Plan Baselines.
  • Refresh of non-prod environments using RMAN & data pump tools.
  • Review daily DB health check reports, alerts, audit breaches to proactively spot, highlight and fix defects, and apply security hardening before the system get impacted.
  • Work on incidents and reported problems coming from ITSD and different departments.
  • Experience with OEM Configuration across multiple databases
  • Expertise in Performance Tuning
  • Data migration from/to EC2 & RDS AWS instances.

Skill Sets Required (Good-To-Have):
  • Manage all aspects of Goldengate replication (installation, support, troubleshooting).
  • Ability to reproduce production issues related to performance, RAC and Goldengate on non-prod environments and experiment and test the solutions.
  • Hands on experience on SQL Server is a plus to handle daily SQL Server tasks.

Other Responsibilities:
  • Write detailed, easy to follow technical documents.
  • Having the skill of sharing knowledge and can easily convey technical details during technical discussions.
  • On-call support and availability for attending application deployments early morning.
  • Manage Oracle databases on RDS.
  • Understand PL/SQL codes.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Min. 5yrs relevant experience
  • B.Tech Comp. Sc / MCA Graduates preferred
  • Oracle Certified Professionals (OCP) Certification preferred
