Position: Project Manager, DuPont Water Solutions

Location: Mumbai / NCR (India)

Job Description (Responsibilities)

The Project Manager for Water/ Wastewater Treatment / Desalination will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of complex water and wastewater projects, from initial design and planning to execution, commissioning, and handover. The successful candidate will manage multidisciplinary teams, uphold stringent safety and quality standards, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires a strong technical background in water and wastewater engineering, exceptional project management skills, and experience with technologies such as Ultrafiltration, MBR, and Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP)

Essential Qualifications

• Graduation in Engineering or Science, and a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Professional certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) is highly desirable.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities to lead teams and manage client relationships effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage complex technical issues and project challenges.
• High attention to detail, especially concerning quality, health, safety, and environmental plans.

Business Acumen:

• Demonstrates the ability to use business model knowledge to create solutions beneficial to both DuPont and its customer’s.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all project phases, including design, installation, testing, and commissioning, adhere to quality standards and contractual obligations.
• Manage communication and relationships with all stakeholders, including clients
• Drafting clear and detailed contracts or proposals that outline the terms of sale, pricing, and service commitments.
• Assist the Sales and Engineering teams with the preparation of Prepare all Pre order documentation for PO finalization
• Review technical submissions, engineering specifications, and construction documents to ensure technical compliance and quality (in coordination with various stake holders), including but not limited to;
  • Contract /Project PO terms and conditions review and contract approval
  • Create Project Dashboard with well-defined milestones, timelines and R&Rs
  • Post / submit order documentation
  • documentation for regulatory clearances where needed
• Quality assurance procedures and oversee project documentation to ensure all records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant as per customer needs and in line with DuPont standards.
• Coordination with external and internal stakeholders for FAT and inspection documentation including final dispatch clearance from customer with MDCC
• Works closely with rev. Ops. Team to ensure critical activities related to project execution are prioritized
• Identify potential project risks and develop effective mitigation strategies to address technical, contractual, and financial challenges
• Strengthens customer relationships through regular catch-ups, proactively identifying and communicating any changes to project timelines or customer expectations.
