Job brief
To manage crew planning, deployment, administration, and compliance to ensure smooth vessel operations in accordance with company standards and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage crew planning, rotation, and sign on / sign off processes.
- Conduct recruitment, selection, and placement of seafarers.
- Manage and maintain crew documentation and certification validity.
- Arrange and monitor crew medical check-ups in compliance with requirements.
- Manage crew Performance Management System (PMS) including appraisal and evaluation.
- Manage and ensure compliance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
- Implement and maintain ISO requirements within the crewing scope, including SOPs and audits.
- Ensure compliance with MLC 2006, STCW, and other applicable maritime regulations.
- Coordinate with KPI, Seacom, manning agents, and other relevant external parties.
- Act as the main liaison between crew, vessel, and management.
- Prepare reports and monitor crew status.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in crewing, ship management, or maritime HR (fresh graduates may be considered for junior level). Managing oil tanker is a must
- Good knowledge of MLC 2006, STCW, and crewing-related regulations.
- Familiar with crew PMS, CBA handlling & implementation, and ISO-based management systems.
- Strong administrative, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
- Computer literate (MS Office and crewing management systems).
