Turner Industries Group has an opening for a Personnel Coordinator / Recruiter to join our team in the Whiting, IN area. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building relationships with both hiring managers and candidates. You'll play a key role in attracting, hiring, and onboarding great people across our teams. As the Personnel Coordinator / Recruiter, your responsibilities will include managing the full recruiting and onboarding cycle from start to finish. You'll partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, source candidates through multiple channels, and guide applicants through a smooth, efficient hiring process.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, equivalent experience considered
- 2–4 years of related experience in an HR Department, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Experience recruiting both hourly production staff and salaried professionals
- Strong knowledge of full-cycle recruiting, sourcing strategies
- Experience with HRIS/ATS platforms and recruitment tools
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to effectively manage competing priorities
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requisitions
- Knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements.
- Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
- Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others at the workplace
Compensation
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Employee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; standing; sitting; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.
