What You'll Get to do:
-Materials Planning, Production Scheduling in the support of all programs
-Establish and maintain build plans for production programs, based on program contract requirements
-Ensure the health and accuracy of requirements data in SAP/MRP
-Define the acquisition requirements of material to meet set schedules and the tracking/managing status to need.
-Manage and eliminate root cause of shortages
-Develop manpower plans
-Develop BOEs for new and ongoing proposals
-Facilitate employee hiring, development and training needed to meet projected program demands
-Manage indirect budgets and direct material budgets for multiple programs
-Material cost reduction initiatives
-Manage material acquisition to meet program milestones (PBPs) as required
-Champion and drive process improvements across all areas of responsibility
Northrop Grumman Missions Systems sector is seeking a Material Planning Manager 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be split between the Rancho Carmel Facility and Spectrum Facility in San Diego, CA.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years work experience in Production or related field within a Manufacturing Environment or High School diploma or equivalent (GED) and 10 years of relevant experience
2+ years work experience Managing/Leading people and/or projects
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
US citizenship
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain/Business
Experience MRP/ERP tools applied in a manufacturing environment
Possesses an active Secret Clearance
Experience with FAR, DFAR and MMAS requirements
Experience in electronics manufacturing is a plus
Experience with SAP/R3
