Key Responsibilities: Serve as a primary operations integration and planning advisor to Defense Agency executive leadership on enterprise-wide mission priorities, operations, risks, and opportunities. Maintain comprehensive awareness of organizational operations, operational concepts, strategic initiatives, capabilities, dependencies, and partner activities to support executive-level decision-making. Translate strategic guidance and national defense priorities into integrated operational plans, concepts, requirements, and executable courses of action. Lead compartmented and sensitive planning efforts, ensuring appropriate coordination, synchronization, deconfliction, and protection of mission information. Identify enterprise-level mission gaps, seams, risks, and opportunities and develop actionable options that integrate operational, intelligence, technical, commercial, and partner capabilities. Advise senior leaders on operational tradeoffs, dependencies, authorities, resource requirements, sequencing, and potential mission impacts. Coordinate across organizational components, government agencies, operational commands, intelligence partners, law enforcement entities, and private-sector organizations to align activities and resolve cross-enterprise challenges. Plan, prepare, and conduct executive-level engagements with senior government officials, industry executives, mission partners, and other key stakeholders. Develop and deliver executive briefings, decision papers, operational assessments, and recommendations that provide senior leaders with clear, defensible, and executable options. Required Qualifications: 20+ years of professional experience supporting national security, military operations, intelligence operations, interagency activities, or complex mission environments. Demonstrated experience serving as a senior advisor to executive-level government, military, intelligence, or national security leadership. Deep expertise in operational integration, operational planning, strategic planning, campaign planning, or mission synchronization. Demonstrated experience translating strategic guidance into operational concepts, integrated plans, requirements, and executable courses of action. Demonstrated experience integrating capabilities and authorities across DoW, IC, interagency, law enforcement, or comparable mission partners. Significant experience supporting compartmented, highly sensitive, or special-access planning and operational environments. Proven ability to identify cross-organizational dependencies, conflicts, risks, and opportunities and develop integrated approaches to address them. Experience conducting executive-level engagements and communicating complex operational issues to senior government and private-sector leaders. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including development and delivery of executive decision-support products. Preferred Qualifications: Senior-level experience within the DoW, Intelligence Community, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Defense Agencies, Service components, special operations organizations, law enforcement, or other national security organizations. Experience supporting agency heads, flag/general officers, Senior Executive Service leaders, or equivalent executive-level decision-makers. Experience leading Joint, interagency, or enterprise-level operational planning and integration efforts. Experience developing or coordinating highly sensitive operational concepts and compartmented activities. Demonstrated expertise in operational design, campaign planning, strategic problem framing, and mission analysis. Experience integrating emerging technology, commercial capabilities, cyber, data, intelligence, or other specialized capabilities into operational plans. Experience working with senior private-sector executives, technology leaders, research organizations, or non-traditional mission partners. Experience leading cross-functional teams, executive working groups, enterprise planning forums, or senior leader decision sessions. Prior operational headquarters, deployed, command-level, or enterprise mission-support experience.
