In this role, you will support daily Human Resources operations across training and development, performance management, employee relations, hiring procedures, onboarding, reporting, organizational development, employee engagement, and HR compliance. - Support the HR Director and HR Business Partner with daily administrative and operational activities
- Assist with projects and coordination of meetings
- Maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information with discretion
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments
- Support safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure tracking, aptitude exams, and certifications
- Assist in creating and facilitating employee recognition programs
- Ensure compliance with regulatory governance, including maintaining employee files and supporting smooth internal employee transfers
- Coordinate new hire onboarding and training requirements
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex or sensitive matters appropriately
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
- Provide administrative support to the HR Director and HR Business Partner
- Prepare communications and correspondence
- Create meeting and committee agendas and record minutes
- Manage phones, the HR desk, and office supply ordering
- Deliver high-quality, responsive, and courteous customer service through email, phone, and in-person interactions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Note: Local Candidates only - must be willing to commute and work "in-person" often at the Dayton, Ohio area offices
Preferred candidates will live within 40 minutes driving distance to Middletown, Ohio
- High School completion / Diploma or GED
- Experience in human resources, administration, or a related support role preferred
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Effective problem-solving skills and a results-driven approach
- Ability to manage systems, processes, and detailed documentation accurately
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members and stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Customer-service mindset with responsiveness to employee and applicant inquiries
- Proficiency in preparing correspondence, meeting materials, and reports
- Familiarity with HR compliance, onboarding, training coordination, and employee records management preferred
- Knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and regulatory requirements preferred
