$18.00 - $22.00

Position Highlights

  • Part-time position, 24 hours per week
  • Additional hours may be required to provide coverage for employee absences, vacations, and other staffing needs.
  • Typical shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Shift Length: 8 hours + 30 minute break
  • The regular schedule is expected to be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; however, days may vary occasionally based on departmental coverage needs.
  • Candidates must have open availability.
  • Occasional weekends and holidays are required.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for the ordering and distribution of supplies to all patient care or Food Service areas on a routine basis or as emergency needs demand. Responds to customer requests per phone/pager by delivering equipment within established parameters - 30 minutes if the request is routine, 15 minutes if the request is urgent. Responsible for the collection of soiled linens and the preparation and distribution of clean linens to the nursing units. Delivers food items, uses LEAN and Safe Food practices. Records refrigerator and freezer temperatures. Cleans refrigerators and food bins.

What you will do

  • Distributes patient care supplies from receiving dock to nursing units, surgical areas, and emergency areas. Transports re-usable equipment to CSPD re-processing area from all nursing, recovery, surgical, and emergency areas. Follows established Infection Control procedures.
  • Electronically creates supply replenishment reorder and re-stocks supplies in designated areas according to established par-level parameters. Completes daily inventory of FAC areas on nursing units. Compares delivered goods with computerized inventory. Completes monthly analysis on expiration dates for STAT room supplies.
  • Manages STAT room supplies including ordering, replenishment, and cycle counts.
  • Delivers supply/equipment/linen/food supplies as ordered by all nursing, Surgery/Recovery, and emergency units within 30 minutes for routing requests. Responds to STAT requests within 15 minutes. Responds positively to customer service requests per phone/pager throughout shift.
  • Utilizes computer for required information access; communication with supervisor, co-workers, and customers; and for Materials Management stocked inventory information.
  • Follows Infection Control and Safety unit-specific protocols when completing all job functions. Records food and equipment temperatures as needed by Health Department, Joint Commission, OSHA guidelines or as may be needed by law.
  • Demonstrates proficiencies in operation of all applicable modules of @Par supply chain management system. Demonstrates proficiencies in the operation of all required computer functions such as Meditech, UPS/FedEx and linen electronic inventory system. Supports cross-training of job duties and responsibilities.
  • Responsible for the collection of soiled linens from all nursing unit pick-up areas and all linen chutes throughout the hospital. Prepares the soiled linen carts for transport to contracted laundry service. Assists with distribution of clean linen 24hr exchange carts to all nursing units and the return of the used clean linen carts to the linen processing area. Cleans and disinfects re-usable pillows per established I.C. guideline. Retrieves empty clean linen transport carts from linen processing area and delivers to the soiled linen sorting area
  • Assembles needed food items, delivers and replenishes items according to LEAN principles and Safe Food practices in the FAC areas. Completes simple food preparation. (Sandwiches, fruit, pudding etc.). Completes assigned daily cleaning schedule including, but not limited to individual work area and storage areas. Completes monthly analysis on expiration dates.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:

  • High School or GED Equivalent Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
