Description

The Catering Delivery Specialist is responsible for the accurate, timely delivery of drop-off catering orders. This role focuses on logistics, order accuracy, and professional handoff, ensuring clients receive correct orders on schedule while maintaining company standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•  Load, transport, and deliver catering orders according to daily routes and in a timely fashion and with route efficiency

•  Verify order accuracy using packing lists prior to departure

•  Ensure food quality and safe transport during delivery

•  Perform professional order handoff to client contacts

•  Set-up basic food displays when required (no active service)

•  Communicate delivery confirmations, delays, or issues to management

•  Return equipment, delivery supplies, and paperwork after routes

•  Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles

•  Follow all food safety, driving, and company policies

•  Must have and maintain a 5-year clean driving record as well as an active driver’s license

•  Must be able to drive fleet vehicles including vans and a box truck

Requirements

•  WORK EXPERIENCE: Catering delivery experience preferred

•  SKILLS: Attention to detail, time management, professional communication, friendly and excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

•  EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required with a basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (preferred).

•  CERTIFICATE/LICENSE: Must have reliable transportation. Must have and maintain a 5-year clean driving record as well as an active driver’s license

•  LANGUAGE: Complete written and oral knowledge of the English language is required

•  RESPONSIBILITY: Maintain excellent communication with clients, teammates and management

•  AVAILABILITY: Must be able to work during daytime business hours (weekday focused) and weekends as needed

•  TRAINING: Must attend and pass driver training at C&J Catering as a condition of continued employment

•  PERFORMANCE STANDARDS: Must be willing to adjust to last minute changes, engage and assist fellow employees where needed

•  PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to quickly load and unload company vehicles multiple times per day, and have the ability to navigate stairs, elevators, and various delivery environments.

•  WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT: The industry is a fast-paced environment which may require frequent walking, standing, long hours, the ability to work in high volume environments and lift up to 50 pounds
