Job Description:
Licensed, or license-eligible clinician with experience providing clinical diagnostic and treatment services which can include individual, group, family, and health and behavior interventions. The clinician will conduct a variety of psychosocial assessments and provide care for patients through therapeutic use of self and/or the patient care/problem solving process to assist the patient and family to achieve basic healthcare goals. The clinician is a member of an interdisciplinary team that is responsible for working collaboratively with providers, nurses, leadership and other team members to ensure development and implementation of appropriate standards. May be asked to provide clinical coverage in other areas of the hospital, consistent with training and experience guidelines and needs to have flexibility in traveling between two hospitals 30 minutes apart. As need is derived by the department, the clinician may be asked to provide program consultation, staff education, and/or supervision and training.Education: ▪ Required: Masters Degree in a related field of counseling services Experience: ▪ Preferred: 1-2 yrs. experience with wide variety of patient populations Skills: ▪ Ability to work within scope of practice to help patient achieve highest level of quality possible for psychological well-being ▪ Knowledge of community resources to help meet patient needs ▪ Ability to work independently & collaboratively in teams Licensure/Certification/Registration: • Required: Current Licensure as a Social Worker [LCSW or LMSW], Licensed Professional Counselor [LPC], Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Psychologist [PhD or PsyD] or application for provisional license with completed degree requirements of the previous. Provisional license must be obtained within 120 days of employment.
