CampusGuard is seeking a motivated and creative Instructional Design & Training Development Intern to assist with the design, development, and maintenance of cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, and professional development training materials.This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience developing online learning content for thousands of end users across colleges, universities, healthcare organizations, and other customers. The selected candidate will work alongside instructional designers, product leaders, cybersecurity experts, and compliance professionals to develop engaging online training experiences.
The intern will participate in the full instructional design lifecycle, from content planning and storyboard creation through multimedia development, accessibility validation, quality assurance, and course deployment.
Course Development
Assist with development of online learning modules and microlearning content
Create storyboards and instructional content outlines
Design learner interactions, knowledge checks, and assessments
Update existing training materials based on regulatory and industry changes
Support annual maintenance and review of course content
Multimedia Development
Create graphics, visual assets, infographics, and supporting materials
Assist with video production and narration coordination
Develop course elements using instructional development tools
Help maintain design standards and content consistency across the training library
Learning Technology Support
Support SCORM course packaging and testing
Validate course functionality across various delivery environments
Participate in user acceptance testing and quality assurance reviews
Accessibility & User Experience
Review training materials for accessibility compliance
Support WCAG and VPAT-related accessibility initiatives
Test course navigation, usability, and learner experience
Recommend enhancements to improve learner engagement and effectiveness
Research & Innovation
Research emerging trends in:
Cybersecurity awareness training
Instructional design
E-learning technologies
Artificial intelligence in learning
Adult learning strategies
Help identify innovative ways to improve learner engagement and training outcomes
Product & Business Exposure
Learn how SaaS-based training solutions are developed and managed
Participate in product discussions involving CampusGuard Online Training
Gain exposure to compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, etc.
