Description
Drive meaningful change where it matters most
We’re looking for an experienced Executive Manager, Crew Lead, to lead Assisted Investigations, a critical Economic Crime capability focused on improving how investigation teams are enabled through better data, tooling, workflow, automation and decision support.
This crew sits close to the operational frontline of financial crime response. It requires a leader who understands the importance of investigator effectiveness, operational quality, case progression, customer impact, regulatory expectations and the responsible use of technology-enabled assistance.
We’re looking for someone who can bring together business, operations, technology, data and risk to improve investigative capability at scale. You will need to balance transformation ambition with operational realities, ensuring change is practical, adopted and aligned to measurable outcomes.
This is an opportunity to lead a crew that can materially improve the quality, speed, consistency and effectiveness of economic crime investigations while supporting teams to work with greater clarity and confidence.
What you’ll do
As Executive Manager, Crew Lead, you will:
Own the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, performance and delivery outcomes for the Assisted Investigations crew.
Lead a multidisciplinary crew across product, technology, data, risk, operations, delivery and change to deliver customer, regulatory and business outcomes at scale.
Shape the crew’s purpose, priorities and roadmap, ensuring alignment to Economic Crime strategy, enterprise priorities, regulatory expectations and measurable value.
Translate strategic objectives into actionable quarterly plans, squad priorities, delivery milestones and performance measures.
Partner closely with Product Owners, Crew Tech Leads, Technology, Risk, Operations, Data and business stakeholders to ensure strong alignment across delivery and run outcomes.
Drive a clear, prioritized and outcome-focused backlog that balances strategic transformation, operational resilience, regulatory delivery, risk reduction and customer impact.
Establish strong governance disciplines across planning, delivery, risk, issues, dependencies, decisions, controls and executive reporting.
Use data, metrics and insights to monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support timely executive decision-making.
Manage cross-domain dependencies, competing priorities and delivery constraints, proactively resolving blockers and guiding teams through ambiguity.
Build strong partnerships across Economic Crime, Technology, Risk, Data, Operations and enterprise stakeholders to ensure delivery is integrated and sustainable.
Champion simplification, automation, resilience, modern product practices and continuous improvement across the crew.
Build and lead a high-performing crew culture, with clear ownership, strong engagement, accountability, pace and a focus on safe delivery.
What you’ll bring
You are a senior leader who combines strategic thinking with practical execution. You can lead through complexity, connect business and technology, and bring clarity to ambiguous environments.
We’re particularly interested in:
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale product, technology, operational or transformation teams in complex environments.
An experienced record delivering customer, regulatory, risk or business outcomes across multidisciplinary teams.
Experience leading across product, technology, data, risk, operations, delivery and change functions.
Strong commercial, strategic and operational judgement, with the ability to connect long-term vision to execution.
Strong understanding of risk management, governance, controls and delivery assurance in a regulated environment.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience engaging senior and executive-level stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, cross-domain dependencies and complex trade-offs.
Experience applying agile, product-led and customer-centric ways of working at scale.
A data-led approach to performance, prioritisation and decision-making.
A passion for developing people, building capability and creating high-performing teams.
Experience in banking, financial services, risk, compliance, financial crime, investigations, operations, workflow, automation or technology-enabled operational change would be advantageous.
What success looks like
In the first few months, you will have built a clear understanding of the crew’s purpose, strategic outcomes, delivery commitments, technology landscape, risk profile, operational dependencies and stakeholder expectations.
You will have established an integrated view of crew priorities, performance, delivery, risk and dependencies, with clear governance and sequencing across squads and stakeholders.
Over time, success will be measured through delivery of customer, regulatory and business value, improved investigation capability, predictable and sustainable execution, stronger crew performance, effective risk management and increased confidence across Economic Crime, Technology, Risk and Operations.
