Tech and Data, Product Delivery is a trusted partner, empowering our customers to safely access, understand and consume Tech Services and Data Products. In the Product Delivery team, we have specialised skills and work together in unity providing exceptional services to achieve customer outcome.
Quality Engineering & Testing:
Plan, design and develop test approaches, test cases and test scripts for ELT pipelines on cloud platforms
Execute test cases according to documented test design and timeframes
Automate test cases as much as possible to speed up test execution time and ensure robust, reliable delivery
Prepare documentation for test plans and test results for sign-off
Manage defects and coordinate defect resolution with data engineers and stakeholders
Undertake Data Engineering responsibilities on an as-needed basis to contribute to the development and delivery of data processing solutions.
Collaboration:
Integrate with the broader ASX Product development team consisting of Data Stewards, Data Scientists and Software
Developers in the creation of analytics-based data products
Work closely with other teams, such as Strategy & New Product Development, Product Management, ASX Technology, Enterprise Delivery, Risk and other ASX line of business teams to ensure that the product is being developed in accordance with the product roadmap, applicable enterprise standards and it achieves agreed business outcomes and needs of the customers
Knowledge Management:
Drive a positive, sustainable Technical Product Ownership culture around our Products and Services, contributing to active product and service documentation. Including both functional and non-functional characteristics of the products and services.
Support Product Engineering Mangers with their contribution to product roadmaps and platform roadmaps.
Risk Management:
Assist in the identification, management, and closure of open risk actions. Review control design and operating effectiveness.
Your experience and qualifications
Must have:
5+ years of experience as a test engineer in data / ETL / data analytics/ data warehousing projects
Strong SQL skill
Programming skills such as Python, Java
Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure
Exposure to non-functional testing, such as performance and load testing.
Exposure to test automation, e.g. running automated test scripts or contributing to test automation tools/frameworks
Experience with version-control and CI/CD tools and frameworks
Worked in a fast-paced Agile environment with rapid delivery expectations while adhering to structured and highly governed testing processes
Technical Acumen - deep expertise in key data technologies with a willingness to inspire, share, challenge, be challenged and engage Intellectual Curiosity - curious about drivers behind requests and implications of what is required to deliver a superior service.
