ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Job Function & Responsibilities(s)

•    Selling GCHP D-SNP plan over the phone to individuals eligible for the product.
•    Receive inbound calls from prospects and follow scripts to process applications for prospects to enroll in the product. 
•    Explaining Medicare options, plan benefits, and costs to help individuals make informed decisions. 
•    Make outbound calls to follow up and close business in compliance with all regulations.
•    Successfully complete GCHP required product and certification training; maintain California Life, Accident and Health Insurance License.
•    Attend and actively participate in required departmental meetings, training and coaching sessions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience: Please identify the nature of education and experience such as: Associates, Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree (four-year college or technical school) and list any applicable specialty or field of study.
Required Education and Experience: 
•    2 years experience in a call center related to Medicare and/or Medi-Cal Sales, Claims, Customer Service or Provider Service
•    Bilingual in English and Spanish
•    Experience with the Medicare and Medi-Cal programs.
•    Strong oral communication skill as well as ability to present to individuals or groups.
•    California Life, Accident and Health Insurance License, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of employment.

Equivalent In lieu of degree:   
Will accept experience in any combination of academic education, professional training, or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
•    At least 2 years of equivalent training and/or experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
            
Preferred Qualifications:
•    Medicare sales experience.
•    At least one year experience with the Medi-Cal program.
    
    
Technology & Software Skills:    Advanced computer skills in MS Office products.

Certifications & Licenses:            A valid and current Driver's License, Auto Insurance, and professional licensure(s)

The estimated pay range for the position is:

$66,667.00 - $93,333.00

The pay range above represents the minimum and maximum rate for this position in California. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range. Salary range will vary for remote positions outside of California and future increases will be based on the pay band for the city and state you reside in.
