Do you have a passion for the health and wellbeing and the organisations that provide it? Do you want the opportunity to orchestrate better health outcomes for New Zealanders? This fantastic role would suit a person with a medical background and has strong relationship, leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
About the role | He Aha Te Tūranga
As the Health Provider Engagement Lead, you are responsible for developing and enhancing the relationship with providers through excellent analysis, negotiation, and engagement. The key goal is to positively influence claims inflation through the governance and membership of nib’s First Choice Network (FCN).
You will do this through
Analysis of health provider costs to ensure they are fair and reasonable
Negotiation with health providers about their pricing and portal use
Engaging with new and existing health providers to provide support as required
You will assist in analysis of data from multiple sources and identify opportunities to improve and streamline nib processes. This will include leadership and participation in key projects that deliver against nib’s values and goals.
About you | Ko Wai Koe
This role would suit a commercially minded and relationship-focused professional who enjoys working with data to influence outcomes and drive meaningful change. You’re equally comfortable analysing trends and costs as you are building strong partnerships, negotiating with stakeholders and having conversations that challenge the status quo. With a natural ability to balance commercial outcomes with positive provider relationships, you can influence decisions through evidence, insight and credibility.
You'll bring experience in provider management, healthcare, insurance, account management, commercial analysis, or a similar stakeholder-focused environment. Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen and the ability to build trusted relationships are essential, along with experience negotiating outcomes, identifying opportunities for improvement and influencing positive business results.
