ASSISTANT PROPERTY MANAGER
Regency Arms | Grove City, Ohio
Burlington Capital Properties is seeking an experienced Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of Regency Arms in Grove City, Ohio. This role is a great opportunity for a customer service-oriented property management professional who enjoys working with residents, supporting leasing efforts, and helping maintain a successful community.
The ideal candidate will have previous affordable housing, Tax Credit, and Section 8 experience, along with strong organizational and communication skills.
Schedule
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-6:00 PM | One Saturday per month 10:00 AM-4:00 PM
The Successful Assistant Property Manager Will:
- Assist with the daily operations and overall performance of the property.
- Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Perform leasing functions, including greeting, touring, and qualifying prospective residents.
- Interact with prospective residents to support occupancy and leasing goals.
- Prepare leasing and resident documentation and complete related administrative duties.
- Complete move-in and move-out procedures.
- Support resident retention, relations, leasing, and marketing programs.
- Assist with LIHTC and Section 8 compliance, reporting, and certifications.
- Complete Annual Certifications, Interim Certifications, and other required HUD and Tax Credit documentation.
- Assist with maintaining compliance with applicable affordable housing rules and regulations.
- Complete timely collection, deposit, and recordkeeping of all money as required.
- Record, report, approve, and allocate expenses according to company guidelines and budget.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a positive team environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Previous Tax Credit and affordable housing experience required.
- Two or more years of HUD/LIHTC and Section 8 housing experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of affordable housing compliance requirements.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to interact positively and professionally with residents, employees, vendors, and the general public.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, follow-up, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to work independently, follow directives, and manage multiple priorities.
- Basic accounting and financial recordkeeping knowledge.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record required.
