Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Lead statutory FP&A and cash planning deliverables, including annual budgeting, quarterly cash forecasting, and weekly cash flow reporting, in alignment with business objectives and financial strategy.
Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports and dashboards, incorporating variance analysis and KPIs to provide clear visibility into business performance. This will relate to both Statutory P&L and Cash for the business
Analyze working capital drivers and key cash metrics, including receivables, past dues, BDR, and EMD, and partner with business and operations teams to identify and drive cash conversion cycle improvement opportunities.
Conduct in-depth analysis of financial results, with a primary focus on SG&A, identifying key cost drivers and spending patterns, while leading cost productivity initiatives through process optimization and strategic cost-saving measures to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
Support compliance with the JV Agreement and its requirements related to margins, dividends, CSR spend, and other financial commitments.
Assist in statutory reporting, Board meeting preparations, Financial Reporting Package (FRP) review preparations, audit queries, reconciliations, closing activities, and reporting governance requirements.
Ensure timely and accurate financial closings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, in compliance with internal policies and reporting standards.
Drive data integrity, dashboarding, automation, and process improvement initiatives across statutory and cash forecasting/reporting processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Perform accounting duties, prepare ad hoc reports, and provide support as assigned by management to meet company goals.
Required qualifications
4+ years of experience in areas such as accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, compliance management, and team leadership
MBA in Finance management, B Com/BBA, M Com preferred
Strong analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
Proven ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in FP&A or Operational finance preferred but not essential.
Hands on experience with sound knowledge in basic Accounting terms Concepts, Journal Entries, Reconciliation and P&L and Balance Sheet
Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers
Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, Hyperion, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup, and Macros)
Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions
Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems that impact the function. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders.
Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations
Education Qualification:
8-10 years of experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, or related analytical roles.
Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
